About this Position:

Duration: Full-time, permanent position.

Major Functions:

Write, plan and implement daily curriculum, complete day-to-day tasks consistently and efficiently, collaborate with co-workers and families to maintain the cohesive support environment.

Responsibilities:

Responsibility, % of time, Essential/Secondary

Teacher will plan, coordinate and implement class curriculum in accordance with school standards and in support of school system,

Essential, 90%.

• Curriculum writing

• Class goal planning

• Class schedule planning

• Class newsletter writing

• Class observation & recording

• Communicating with co-workers & children’s families

• Completing day-to-day tasks relating to successful operation of the school

• Complete list provided to trainee

Foster school culture; build awareness of early education/child development methods in our community, Essential, 10%.

• Attend trainings, orientations, staff retreats, school events

• Complete ongoing in-service learning

• Act in synch with, and in support of, core goals & initiatives of the school

• Attend professional/industry events

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must have a working understanding of child development, early childhood education and appropriate practices or the desire and ability to learn.  Ideal candidate is a self-starter, organized, cooperative, professional, ethical, efficient, critical thinker, creative, team player, supportive communicator, child growth focused; the ability to work with adults and children from a variety of ethnic and cultural backgrounds, ability to relate sensitively to children and their families.

Desirable Qualifications:

Experience teaching in an early childhood education environment, current Child Care Provider license with City of Moscow, including Fingerprint and background check, current pediatric First-Aid & CPR Certification.
